Stop-Motion Short of the Day: To promote his girlfriend Dee’s entry in the Irish cooking competition Chef Factor, Alan Travers put together this whimsical stop-motion short documenting the making-of Dee’s “Legendary Chocolate Biscuit Cake.”

The idea for the short emerged from a joke Dee made about he she’s made the biscuit cake so many times “that the ingredients could make it by themselves.”

This was Travers’s first attempt at stop-motion, and I think it came out pretty great. Then again, a taste of Dee’s Legendary Chocolate Biscuit Cake might persuade me to thicken the praise. (Send cake samples to TDW, P.O. Box 80085, c/o my belly.)
